Islam teaches us to show kindness without discrimination and to respect all cultures and beliefs. The purpose of the Islamic Cultural Center Osaka is to promote a true understanding of Islam. It provides a place of worship for Muslim men and women from Japan and other countries who are visiting or living in Osaka, especially those who are studying at Osaka University or visiting the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

In addition to the prayers, there are weekly lectures and classes for adults and children every Saturday which you are all welcome to attend. Please join us for the sake of Allah. (For details, see below)

Congregational Prayers at the Center

• Zuhr:  12:20 (Sat & Sun)   
• Asr:  15:00 (Sat & Sun)    
• Magrib :  17:00
• Isha:   18:30
• Jumma : 12:20 (The khutba begins)

In Shaa ALLAH, cars will be provided to pick thoses brothers and sisters who want to offer their Jumma prayer at the mosque. Because of the necessity to attend classes, some brothers asked to strictly fix the timing to and from the mosque and also to provide cars at different places. So, the cars arrangement will be as follows:

 

Place (1): In front of prayer room of Suita campus.

 

Place (2): In front of International Students Center (ISC).

 

Leaving Time: Cars will leave from Osaka University (Suita campus) exactly at PM 12:05.

 

Return Time: Cars will leave from the Mosque exactly at PM 12:45.

 

If any brothers/sisters need cars at another place or have any other suggestion, please advise us.

 

An Important New Project for Our Mosque

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Alhamdulillah, our community is growing, and we need to reform the mosque by removing the walls on the second floor to make a larger place for prayer. We depend on Allah and are in need of your generous donations to cover the running expenses of the Center and insha'Allah, to complete this important new project, which will cost about 1.5 million yen. In addition, the land next door to our Center is for sale. This will expand our land by 50%and make it possible to build the first purpose built mosque in Osaka, insha'allah.
