Access:
Osaka Ibaraki Mosque is located in Ibaraki City near Osaka University and the Expo Commemoration Park. There is access by road from Osaka (about 40 minutes from Hommachi) and by rail.
Directions from Toyokawa Monorail Station
(It’s about a 7 minute walk)
Exit Osaka Monorail Toyokawa Station by the elevator and walk down the slope away from the station and the tracks. Go straight ahead at the crossroads and take the 4th turn on the right. Go up the slope and the first house you come to on the left is the Mosque.
From Umeda Hankyu Station
Take the Senriyama line to Yamada Station (26 mins.). At Yamada station change to the Osaka monorail line. Take the monorail for Handai Byoin and get off at the next station, Toyokawa station (11 mins.). Its about 7 minutes walk from Toyokawa Monorail Station.(see maps above)
From Shin-Osaka
Take the Midosuji line to Senri chuo Station and change to the Monorail line. Take the monorail for Handai Boyoin station and finally get off at Toyokawa station which is about 7 minutes walk from the Mosque.(see maps above)
You can also take the JR Tokaido line train to Ibaraki Station then take a 92 or 93 bus.
From Kadoma
Take the Osaka Monorail and get off at Banpaku Kinen Koen station and take the monorail for Handai Boyoin station and finally get off at Toyokawa station which is about 7 minutes walk from the Mosquer.(see maps above)
By Bus from Ibaraki JR or Hankyu Station
Take the number 92or 93 Bus from Ibaraki JR Station or Ibaraki Hankyu Station and get off at Saiinomotoshinryosho bus stop, which is soon after the bus turns off Route 171. (It’s the last stop for the 93 bus).You are now only 2 minutes walk from the mosque. Cross the street and follow the narrow footpath by the right side of the Shinryoujou Clinic until you come to a narrow street. Turn right and the mosque is the second building on the right.
Directions by Car
Drive in the direction of Suita, when you see the monorail you are approaching Expo Park. Exit to Route 2 which is running parallel to the highway. Then exit onto Route 1 and Expo Park. Follow the loop road around Expo Park keeping to the left side as you pass Osaka University and turn left onto Route 1 under the monorail line. Then follow the monorail line north along Route 1. Turn right onto Route 171. Turn right at the third traffic signal where you will see a large bowling pin sign. At the next signal turn right and then first left. You will see the Mosque at the top of the slope on the left side.
From Kinki Jidoshado Expressway
As you are approaching Suita Junction, exit onto Route 2, which is running beside the expressway. Take the second Expo Park exit, and turn right at the top of the ramp. Follow the loop road around Expo Park keeping to the left side as you pass Osaka University and turn left onto Route 1 under the monorail line. Then follow the monorail line north along Route 1. Turn right onto Route 171. Turn right at the third traffic signal where you will see a large bowling pin sign. At the next signal turn right and then first left. You will see the Mosque at the top of the slope on the left side.
From Osaka by the Shin Mido Highway
Take Route 423 (Shin-Mido) from Yodoyabashi or Umeda towards Senri New Town. Turn right onto Route 171 towards Ibaraki. After passing the Route 1 intersection under the monorail track, count the traffic signals. Turn right at the third traffic signal where you will see a large bowling pin sign. At the next signal turn right and then first left. You will see the Mosque at the top of the slope on the left side.
From Handai Byoin Monorail Station (Osaka University Hospital)
Follow the monorail line north along Route 1. Turn right onto Route 171. Turn right at the third traffic signal where you will see a large bowling pin sign. At the next signal turn right and then first left. You will see the Mosque at the top of the slope on the left side.
Parking: There is limited at the mosque. If the parking area is full please leave your car in one of the large parking areas on Route 171, and walk from there. (about 10 minutes).
